Nestled in the coast and countryside of Kent, I have a few favorite places I could keep going back to again and again. There’s no gatekeeping over here, so here are the places I find most beautiful and I always suggest to my families as locations for our time together or even just a fun day out.
In first place is Camber Sands. This is on the border of Kent and East Sussex. This location works well for little ones in particular, as there are toilets and facilities close by, with access to food and drink places right on the beach. This is my number one favorite and even on cloudy or windy days, the photos are just incredible. We can nestle into the dunes, shelter from any incoming weather, and on good weather days – well it feels like you’re on holiday.
A quieter location to feel more peaceful, although this doesn’t have access to as many facilities, is Littlestone Beach in Kent.
Stone beaches along Hythe and Folkestone, are also popular locations. I always suggest Folkestone Coastal Park botanical gardens so we can get the best of both green space and beach. The photos then have the best of both worlds.
Any beautiful countryside location or green space works well, I have a great relationship in the summer months with an exclusive Flower Farm in Denstroude, Canterbury. I also take all photography for the Flower Farm social media and their personal family photos. This is a super beautiful, safe family space to come and be immersed in stunning, locally grown flowers, pick your own and create dreamy photos with me.
